My fellow Tri-Cities High School alum, Big Boi‘s episode of MTV’s When I Was 17 recently aired, and here’s the video in case you missed it. True to my roots, I go hard for OutKast (Not knowing the lyrics to “Elevators (Me & You)” is grounds for ridicule in my house), and I was more than excited when I heard that Big Boi would be on the show.
Big Boi’s segment of MTV’s genius, mini-biography show centers around his time at TCHS, his sneaker addiction, inability to parallel park and how …

After watching this video, my need to hop on a $20 bus to go to Comic Con next month has intensified. One has not lived a full life until one has seen a bunch of comic book nerds let loose. In this 2 minute video, Chad Vader attempts to identify as many costumes as he can at Dragon Con 2010.
Of course, there are a lot of Star Wars fans and a bunch of women who used Dragon Con as an excuse to dress as trashy as possible without being called …

Evan Sellers of The Legendary Shots (a group that tapes themselves pulling off the most difficult basketball tricks and posts the footage on YouTube), successfully made the world’s longest basketball shot. Sellers threw a Spalding ball from the top of the Vulcan Monument in Birmingham, Alabama to a basket waiting below.
Ridiculous.
Here are the measurements the Legendary Shots provided:
Height: The platform is 134 feet above ground level, and the ball was released from about 6 feet above the platform. The goal was 10 feet high and was placed about 10 feet …

Apple products have managed to turn us all into tech nerds. People line up for hours awaiting their newest release (that usually looks a lot like an iPod, but with new tricks), and this video takes us back to where it all began. In just a few, short minutes YouTube user, Matts Macintosh managed to create a visual timeline of all of Apple’s designs, from their clunky first computers, to the colorful release in the early 2000s, to the iPad.
Check it out.

Everything looks better in slow motion. The French techno band, Dancing Pigeons just released their video for “Ritalin“, and although I never heard their music before, this video is enough to make me a fan. It centers around a duel between two truck-driving, mullet-having, suspenders-loving men who battle it out with a flame thrower and a fire extinguisher. According to the director, Tomas Mankovsky, they weren’t sure how the whole thing would turn out before they started shooting. Luckily, in slow motion, the clashing of the two has a very cool effect.
Hmm..this …

Everybody was so caught up in the Boondocks hype (The first episode was ok…hopefully it picks up, cause if the last season doesn’t have me dying like I do every time I remember Thugnificent’s edition of Cribs, Imma be upset.), I’ve only heard like two people mention Kanye’s appearance on The Cleveland Show.
Now I can’t provide the backstory to this, since I haven’t really sat down to actually watch an episode of the show in its entirety. The best description I can give you is this: a cartoon Kanye having …

It’s a miniature city…made out of staples.
I’m intrigued.
Made by artist, Peter Root, Ephemicropolis is comprised of 100,000 staples and takes up 600 x 300 centimeters of floor space. Root breaks down how he constructed this piece,
“Stacks of staples were broken into varying sizes from full stacks about 12cm high down to single staples. These stacks were then stood up and arranged over a period of 40 hours.”
Ridiculous.
Check out the video below…
I think this is becoming my wallpaper…

Every day, I wake up and hope that the day that is blossoming before my eyes will be both productive and f*ckery-free. Sadly, today was not one of those days.
I avoided watching Nicki Minaj’s “Massive Attack” debut on 106th and Park last night because she’s actually been growing on me lately, and I really didn’t want to be disappointed by her outfit of choice.
(If you missed the video, check out my babies over at 25 Magazine, and make sure to take a close look at the end. Hype Williams knows …
