Best of Tumblr: Mickey Mouse Models, Baby Drake & 1st Playboy

I once heard a man describe Tumblr as “the most fun on the Internet, right now”, and I have to say, that besides DC Streetwear (hee, hee), Tumblr really is the most entertaining thing on these Internet streets. For those of us who aren’t familiar, Tumblr is like a combination of Flickr, Twitter and Google Reader. You can follow people’s blogs, looking at the original photos they’ve posted as well as stuff that they’ve dug up on the web.
I only joined about two months ago (sourstrawsnmangojuice.tumblr.com) but I’m already well …

Laura Taylor

It’s looking like I need to start a second blog just for photography I spot on the internet. LOL. It’s getting that serious. I think this is my third time posting some artist’s photos this month, but if it’s good, it’s good. Ya’ll enjoy it, right?
Laura Taylor is a photographer based in Los Angeles, and these pictures I spotted over at Like Cool are some kind of great.

If you’re into this Tumblr thing, make sure you follow hers.
By the way, I’m going to be taking a collection up to save …

I Wanna Be Like You When I Grow Up

Sorry for the two random celeb posts in one day, but these pictures were too cute for me to pass up. Check out Tia and Tamera Mowry looking very fly while spending some quality sister time.

I’m loving Tia’s floral print dress and those matching hats look adorable on them…for once their loss of privacy is my gain. Tee hee.

Alicia Keys x Beyonce x Boxing Kitten

I, along with the rest of the R&B-loving world was more than excited to hear that Alicia Keys and Beyoncé teamed up on a track, but now that I’ve seen pics from the video shoot of “Put It On a Love Song,” I’m even more excited about the clothes than the song.
They’re wearing designs from the line, Boxing Kitten by designer, Maya A. Lake. Her entire line is handmade with Ankara fabrics from West Africa.
I’m not usually into colors, but I’m loving this.

Definitely mad I was up on her sooner…

Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2010 Ad

Remember those insanely high heels I posted pictures of a while back? Well, here’s Alexander McQueen’s ad campaign to go along with them. In the photo shot by Nick Knight, model Raquel Zimmerman is covered with vibrantly colored snakes and wearing McQueen’s lime green, snakeskin pumps.
Ow!

Rihanna for W Magazine

…and Rihanna just reminded us all of why the world has fallen in love with her. She looks amazing in this photo shoot for W Magazine’s February 2010 edition. In these photos taken by Craig McDean, Rihanna is decked out in everything from Michael Kors to Prada.
Streetwear? No. But she looks lovely. I couldn’t resist posting this.

Ciara x L’Officiel Magazine

Get it, Ciara! Ever since her Fantasy Ride was released in May 2009 Ciara’s been popping up all over the blogs. Mostly for shopping and walking through random, paparazzi-ridden spots looking suspiciously fly. However, her recent photo shoot with French fashion magazine, L’Officiel, proves that she can do way more than swipe her credit cards.
She looks amazing! I’m tempted to run out to get my first copy of the magazine just for these shots.

Stussy x Jon Naar: Fall 2009 Collection

The brand with which every DC hipster is obsessed, Stussy, paired up with well-known photographer, Jon Naar, on a series of graphic t-shirts for their Fall 2009 collection.
The shirts will feature photography from Naar’s 1974 book, The Faith in Graffiti, which chronicled the transition of New York graffiti from vandalism to art.
The pic on the thumb and the pictures below are just a few examples of Naar’s legendary work.

Shirts are available online now at Stussy’s website. Head on over to check them out.
