Nike Trainer Zoom Huarache Rivalry Pack

It’s times like these that make me wish that I went to a school who’s basketball team mattered at the NCAA level. Nike is set to release their Nike Trainer Zoom Huarache Rivalry Pack at 21 Mercer Store in NYC this Friday.
The pack comes in three colorways: black and orange, blue and black and purple and white. Each colorway is supposed to represent a different NCAA basketball team.
I only follow NBA basketball, and even then, I only watch the finals, so I can’t say which teams these are meant to …

Nike Sportswear Winter 2010 Preview

Check out this preview of Nike Sportswear’s upcoming Winter 2010 releases. There are a lot of familiar siholouettes being revamped in new colorways, as well as some interesting risks being taken on Nike’s part. As usual, there’s something for just about every sneaker addict. From a pair of fleece-lined, blue and black high tops to some cushy, red slip-ons, there’s a little bit of everything here.
Kind of looking forward to winter…

Nike Toki ND Holiday 2010

The holidays are coming. Never mind the fact that Halloween, Thanksgiving, or even Columbus Day hasn’t rolled around yet. A few stores have begun to string up Christmas lights, and now we are given a look at two new colorways for Nike Toki ND this holiday season.
Now available in red and black with gold accents, as well as an awesome grape, the shoes have suede uppers and hiking-boot-esque laces.
Very simple, but very nice.

NEW: Air Jordan Flight 45

Air Jordan‘s new Flight 45s are dope as hell. It’s the first hybrid shoe that I’ve actually been into, with a perfect use of color (the teal and red detailing goes so hard) and a sleek silhouette. The shoes also come with a translucent Jumpman tag fastened in one of the eyelets, a teal Jumpman along the heel and a Jordan strap along the upper.
Not too much, not too little. These will be classic.

What’s New for Nike SB in August 2010

Check out the August 2010 releases from Nike SB. It’ll include the Dunk High and Mid, as well as the Zoom Paul Rodriguez, Stefan Janoski and the Blazer Premium SB. All come in pretty decent colorways, especially the cream on brown High Top Dunks. Not really liking the Velveteen-Rabbit-esque detailing on that pair of black-on-black Dunks, but the others look promising.

Nike SB June 2010 Tees and Accessories

Check out the June 2010 collection of tees and accessories from Nike SB. Like those first two tees. Something about black and white photos makes everything better.
The rest are pretty simple, but it’s Nike, so ya’ll know ya’ll are gonna wear it. Don’t try to pretend now.

Nike SB Blue Zebra Blazer

I’m impressed. Nike SB actually managed to take something as loud as blue zebra print and make it tasteful…
Check out these Blue Zebra Blazers below. They’re suede, so they won’t be safe for those of us who walk hard – *looks at shoes with tears in eyes* – but they are definitely nice enough to get a second look…

Lol at those zebra-print insoles.

Interview: Fortune Five Clothing

You have to respect people who have drive. Breaking into any industry is difficult, but working your way into fashion, music, politics or journalism? Those are goals that can only be reached with hard work, talent, having the right connections and a little luck.
Such is the case with Chayanne Alvarez, the designer, CEO and founder of Fortune Five Clothing, a Miami-based clothing line whose graphic tees center around historical American figures in gold chains.
Sound dope enough? Alvarez is not only working toward a career in fashion, but he’s an aspiring …

Nike Gladiator MD Women’s Sandals Make a Comeback

Nightmare of all nightmares, gladiator sandals are making a comeback. These things were the bane of my existence a few summers back, and now Nike is re-releasing their variation on the gladiator– in six additional colors, nonetheless.
Take a look…

Priced at $80 a pair, these are all available over at Nike.
From the comments I made above, I’m sure it’s pretty obvious that I’m not too excited about these being back on the streets, but what do ya’ll think?

Nike SB Dunk High “Bruce Springsteen”

I’ve never really understood America’s fascination with Bruce Springsteen. Completely before my time, even if his band still does tours…
Anyways, Nike is coming out with a Nike SB Dunk Hi to pay homage to Bruce Springsteen. Drawing inspiration from Springsteen’s Born in the USA album, the shoes have the colors of the American flag along the ankle, and a combination of leather and denim along the upper.
You like?
