Today was seeming like one of those two-posts days (Mama has to go to work. grrr), but I’ll risk clocking in late to post this. Kid Cudi is on the latest cover of Complex and the interview that he gave the magazine has people talking. I mean, he went the hell in. The rapper spoke candidly on his past drug use, lack of respect for certain rappers, and getting kicked off Lady Gaga‘s Monster’s Ball tour. The fact that “Lady Gaga meat dress” pops up the minute you type old girl’s name into Google is just… I’m without words. The most interesting thing about the VMAs (besides Kanye’s performance – I’m a stan and I know it) was Lady Gaga‘s damn dress. A little over a year ago, I went on a little bit of a rant about Lady Gaga’s VMA attire, but by now, I’m used to her antics. It’s just impressive that she’s able to continue to top herself.

This brings me so much joy. Lady Gaga is a DC Streetwear favorite. She began her career as a cute, pop singer with a catchy song and an affinity for leotards, but in a short couple of years, she’s transformed into a walking show, strutting out of the house in nothing but her lingerie and a baseball jersey, dancing around in fake blood, and wearing those sky high Alexander McQueen heels just about everywhere. It seems natural that fans would want to dress up like her for Halloween.
