Ok, I am in need of some serious help. Howard University’s homecoming is coming up, which means I’m in need of a cute boot to wear. Thing is, I spotted this pair of Steve Madden boots that would be perfect. The heel isn’t too high, so I won’t be uncomfortable while I swarm around Yardfest snapping photos and it’s a great cognac color that I can work easily. They’re called the Hondd and they’re a pair of lace-up booties with around a 2 1/2-inch heel. They’re running for $130, but …

Adorable and unique jewelry can brighten a dreary day, even one as ugly as this one. Last night, I was perusing one of my favorite shopping sites, ModCloth, and I came across a ring they’d dubbed the “Ring Arthur”.
The ring, which is made by an accessories company out of California called Monserat De Lucca, is made of polished brass and looks like a knight’s helmet. The ventail (that grill-looking piece that sits over the mouth) even moves!
Scroll down for a better look.
It’s available over at ModCloth for about $60. I’m …

So I think I’ve fallen in love with another women’s line. I’m a few days late on this but Butch Diva recreated one of the most iconic looks from one of my all time favorite movies. Remember Julia Roberts‘ skimpy, cutout mini dress from Pretty Woman?
Check out the 2010 version…
This makes me so happy.

Parenthood’s (some show on NBC. I don’t have time to watch TV these days so ya’ll know better than I do what that show is about) Joy Bryant and Erika Christensen are both posing in the second issue of The Hundreds Magazine. Despite the fact that I haven’t actually seen the show, I love Joy Bryant and she looks too cute in these outtakes from their shoot.

I posted a preview of the February 2010 look book from Zara awhile back, and here’s the look book in its entirety.
This just isn’t right. It’s like the people at Zara read my mind and created everything I’ve been searching for fruitlessly for the past few months.
It is not fair to me, or my bank account for them to produce this much hotness for a single month.
Forget you, Zara. You have it out for me, and I don’t appreciate it in the least.
I don’t know about you, by my pockets …

I’m now excited about life. Sonia Rykiel for H&M hits the H&M on F Street on Saturday. Here are a few pics of the window display snapped by the folks over at The President Wears Prada.
(I was compelled to check out the blog simply because I love the name.)
All. The. Pretty. Colors! I may have to incorporate some brightness into my wardrobe this spring…
Plus, it’s all relatively affordable. The stuff pictured above falls into the $25-$80 price range.
More from Rykiel’s work with H&M…

I, along with the rest of the R&B-loving world was more than excited to hear that Alicia Keys and Beyoncé teamed up on a track, but now that I’ve seen pics from the video shoot of “Put It On a Love Song,” I’m even more excited about the clothes than the song.
They’re wearing designs from the line, Boxing Kitten by designer, Maya A. Lake. Her entire line is handmade with Ankara fabrics from West Africa.
I’m not usually into colors, but I’m loving this.
Definitely mad I was up on her sooner…

I don’t know if I’m excited because Coach’s collaboration with actress, Michelle Trachtenburg is the hotness, or if I’m excited because I love Michelle Trachtenburg.
She will forever hold a special place in my heart for playing Harriet the Spy in the Nickelodeon classic. (I watched that VHS so often, I probably burned a hole through the tape.) And now, her first jewelry collection, which is scheduled to release in Spring 2010, has got me all jittery.
Coach’s Poppy line is an adorable blend of edgy and feminine that will look perfect with …

Married to the Mob is just continuing to impress me!
Their Spring 2010 collection, named “Dazed and Confused” is riddled with cute tops, bright colors and the first, nautical-themed outfit that I have liked since I was five and didn’t know any better.
The overall theme of the collection is best describe by Married to the Mob’s Leah McSweeney,
“the urban Lolita: a sweet and sexy manipulating man-eater, who writes her crushes name all over the bathroom wall in her moms Chanel lipstick. Piggy tails, drug dreams, and crushed hopes of romantic love …

I want Spring to come and I want it to come now! And not because I currently cannot feel my toes, but because of OBEY’s Spring 2010 women’s collection. Ow! It’s an adorable blend of preppy, yet laidback clothing that has me itching to order some of these goodies as soon as my Spring semester refund check hits my bank account. Must. Show. Restraint.
Check it out. It’s full of cute tops, curve-hugging denim, and just enough floral prints to be considered a Spring collection without choking us all with flowers.
In short, …
