Vans’ Shaffer’s Crossing Collection

Inspired by the clothing American railroad workers wore during the times of steam engines, Van’s new Shaffer’s Crossing Collection for their Vault campaign is more than retro. Named after one of Norfolk & Western Railroad’s old Virginia train stations, the shoes incorporate the plaid and tweed patterns worn by the workers along with leather and pig suede.
The shoes are set to release in six different styles this September.

OriginalFake’s  New “Twisted Rumor” Tees

KAWS’ s latest designs of graphic t-shirts for OriginalFake are more abstract than some of his other work, with a heavy emphasis on the simple, geometric shapes.
Named “Twisted Rumor”, there are five different versions of the shirt. The colors range from blue, green, black, white and gray and they are available online at any of OriginalFake’s retailers.

Def Jam X Adidas 25th Anniversary

Since Run DMC’s 1986 classic “My Adidas” these two names have been welded together in the world of hip hop. To commemorate 25 years of Def Jam’s success, Adidas is releasing a Def Jam 25th Anniversary collection as a part of their Fall/Winter line. There will be Def Jam editions made from a number of Adidas’ staple designs, including the Stan Smith and the Superstar. Vans Surf Fall 2009 Collection

Vans are stepping their game all the way up this season, as well. The brand that seemed to take over the world after the California-born group, The Pack released its 2006 ode to their shoes, has is releasing a fall collection that looks different, but stylish and comfortable.
Combining the original look of their slip-ons along with some new concepts, like fur-lining and wicker bottoms, the Vans Surf Fall Collection is worth looking into.

Streetwear Fall/Winter Footwear in D.C.

Air conditioners may be doing overtime in D.C. right now, but it gets cold, very cold. Simply Complicated Apparel Sneak Peeks on Twitter

The guys at Simply Complicated Apparel are taking making use of one’s resources to a whole new level. On their site, they invite fans of their clothing to follow them on Twitter in order to get a sneak peek at the new designs that they have been working on.
After looking at a few of their t-shirts, Simply Complicated’s promise to “put just about as much thought into every design that a president would put into his foreign policy” seems pretty solid.

Casio G-Shock 25th Anniversary

To celebrate 25 years of success, Casio has decided to release a commemorative model of their G-Shock watch. The DW6925E-7 is white, with gold ion plating to accent the buckle, screws, buttons and back cover of the watch. It also comes with a 25th Anniversary logo carved onto the back of the watch, in further recognition of how far the brand has come.
